  3. @Uma, The MMC I card was issued when you registered in 2006-07.  Many people still dont have one. You dont worry and can apply now. Rs 500rs DD addressed to Registrar, Maharastra medical council payable at Mumbai. You can get the registration online too at the MMC website

  5. If you are applying for job in Maharastra, Most hospitals will ask for MMC Registration. So get it done

  7.  I think you should get registered now. MMC will register you may be with some imposed fine.

    I have not been practicing due to some family responsibilities for past few years hence never renewed my registration.
    What do i need to do for renewing my registration now if i want to start practicing again?

Maharastra Medical Council CME Guidelines

Medical Science is dynamic and there is no end of learning for a doctor. This is in essence the concept of continuing medical education (CME). Tremendous advances are taking place in the field of medical sciences, which are continuously changing the concept, approach to management and the outcome of several diseases. The rapid pace of these advances makes it mandatory for doctors to keep themselves updated so that they may apply this information to their patient’s well being and improve the quality of care rendered to them.
