10 things We (India) Need to learn from the Japanese after the devastation

I have already written about the use of Twitter done by Doctors and other Medical workers to send information to patients as to the place they can visit for their dialysis, medication, injections, etc after the Deadly Earthquake.

There are other lessons also to be learned from the Japanese. These are

1. THE CALMNESS - Not a single visual of chest-beating or wild grief. Sorrow itself has been elevated.

2. THE DIGNITY - Disciplined queues for water and groceries. Not a rough word or a crude gesture.

3. THE ABILITY - The incredible architects, for instance. Buildings swayed but didn't fall.

4. THE GRACE - People bought only what they needed for the present, so everybody could get something.

5. THE ORDER - No looting in shops. No honking and no overtaking on the roads. Just understanding.

6. THE SACRIFICE - Fifty workers stayed back to pump sea water in the N-reactors. How will they ever be repaid?

7. THE TENDERNESS - Restaurants cut prices. An unguarded ATM is left alone. The strong cared for the weak.

8. THE TRAINING - The old and the children, everyone knew exactly what to do. And they did just that.

9. THE MEDIA - They showed magnificent restraint in the bulletins. No silly reporters. Only calm reportage.

10. THE CONSCIENCE - When the power went off in a store, people put things back on the shelves and left quietly .

KNOW WHAT WE WILL BE DOING IN SUCH A SCENARIO...

CALMNESS---media will get inside the veils of women greiving...

DIGNITY---agar mujhe nahin to kisi ko bhi nahin,

ABILITY---thank god it did not fell.,

GRACE--mera ghar bhara hona chahiye, baki jaaye bhaad mein,

ORDER--LOOT LO..

SACRIFICE--koi na koi to kar hi lega,main kyon panga loon,

TENDERNESS-yahi toh time hai kamaane ka..

TRAINING-- total chaos,,

MEDIA--dont stop me..trp ka sawaal hai.,,

CONSCIENCE---have i ever heard about it???

Maharastra Medical Council CME Guidelines

Medical Science is dynamic and there is no end of learning for a doctor. This is in essence the concept of continuing medical education (CME). Tremendous advances are taking place in the field of medical sciences, which are continuously changing the concept, approach to management and the outcome of several diseases.
